Reach Chettinad where you will stay at an old mansion known as Chettinadu Mansion. The place is located in Chettinad region which is famous for the old houses of rich Chidambaram merchants who now live in big cities. The entire area gives a feeling of old world charm and heritage. The place is important to see the traditional architecture of Tamilnadu. During your stay you will served the local Tamil delicacies.

Drive further to Swamimalai & check in at your beautiful resort. During the day take an excursion of the interesting towns located at a short distance.
Enjoy excursions covering temple tours to adjoining Chola Era cities are easily possible. It is also possible to visit the villages, old streets and bazaars with the help of your driver. The region is very famous for arts & crafts especially the art of Chola style brass/bronze sculptures.

Drive westwards and finally reach Periyar National Park – One of the best jungles in India to see wild elephants. Day free to explore on own.
Visit the National Park on boat over Periyar lake where several wild animals come congregate at different times.

Drive downhills through beautiful spice and rubber plantations and reach Kumarakom- an island with a beautiful bird-sanctuary and extremely serene atmosphere. Stay at Coconut Lagoons- a wonderful resort providing restored tharawads as idyllic rooms.
Day till noon free to relax in the resort with traditional Ayurvedic therapies as the most suggested facility for rejuvenation. After lunch board your exclusive kettuvalom to sail through Kerala’s most enchanting backwater scenery. Kettuvalom is a traditional rice barge converted into a houseboat having all boarding and lodging facilities. Overnight on board.
After a short drive reach Kochi – the cultural and commercial hub of Kerala. Day sightseeing at Fort Kochi. Visit the Mattancherry palace, Jewish synagogue, Jew town, old spice markets, St. Francis church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing nets. Evening free to explore the vibrant markets.
Day at your discretion. In the evening you may watch the Kathakali dance performance in one of the many theatres of Kochi.
At appropriate time transfer to international airport to board the flight back home. The tour ends.
