Itinerary

DAY 1 : Bangalore to Badami

On this day you may board the train to Bagalkot (nearby railway station to Badami). Overnight train.

DAY 2 : Badami

On your arrival at railway station you will be received and transferred to Badami. Badami was once the capital of Chalukyan Empire and today it boasts some of the most beautiful rock cut temples of that period. Rest of the time is kept free as per your own discretion. Stay overnight at Badami.

DAY 3 : Hampi

Reach Hampi after a beautiful drive through countryside. On your arrival you will be transfer to your hotel to check in. Evening at leisure.

DAY 4 : Hampi

In the morning take a walking tour of the Hampi bazaar and temples. Hampi has extraordinary remnants of once great city Vijayanagara. The sheer size and majestic appearance of this historical site is amazing! Cross the picturesque Tungabhadra River on a primitively designed corracle- a very different experience!

DAY 5 : Hassan

Morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Hassan. On arrival, check in at your beautiful resort. Remaining day is proposed at leisure.

DAY 6 : Hassan

During the day visit two most outstanding sites for Hoysala style temples namely Halebid and Belur. Visit some of the most beautiful temples of Hoysala kingdom notably the Hoysaleshwar temple and Kedareshwara temple at Halebid and Channekeshava temple at Belur. These temples have some of the most intricate and unbelievable carvings found anywhere in Hindu temples. Stay overnight at Hassan.

DAY 7 : Mysore

In the morning drive to Mysore. In Mysore, check in at your hotel. In the evening you may visit the beautifully illuminated Brindavan Gardens.

DAY 8 : Mysore – Bangalore

Take early morning visit to Devraja Flower Market. This is a local market which is a sight to behold in the morning hours. You will find heaps of beautiful flowers, garlands ready for sale along with various colours, a vegetable market, fruit market and other local specialties. This is truly a photographer’s delight.
During the day visit the enormous and magnificent Mysore Palace. Take a visit to Chamundi Hills to pay homage to local shrine. You may also visit Mysore Zoo which is famous for housing a large number of wild animals brought from all over the world.
Later drive towards Bangalore. You may visit Srirangapatnam- capital of Tipu Sultan on the way. In Bangalore, transfer to Bangalore international airport to board a flight to your onwards destination. The tour ends.
