Morning after breakfast, drive towards Kanchipuram. Later take a visit to Kanchipuram- one of the seven holy cities in the country, and a visit is believed to bestow salvation. Kanchipuram once had over a thousand temples. Today, there are more than a hundred extant, and all are worth a visit. Kanchipuram also has some notable churches and mosques. Kanchipuram is a major seat of Tamil learning as well as an important place of pilgrimage for Buddhists, Jains and Shaivite Hindus.
Apart from its temples, this small town is also known for its thriving handloom industry. The weavers of Kanchi have settled in the temple town more than 400 years ago and have given it enviable reputation as the producers of the best silk and cotton sarees in the country.

Start your drive towards Pondicherry – the erstwhile French colony. Day is free to take walks in the city. This city is also famous for Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Whole day is proposed at your discretion. You may take a heritage walk to see the influence of French culture and architecture on the city.

Morning after breakfast drive towards Tanjore. The sightseeing tour of Tanjore includes visit to The Palace, Saraswati Mahal Library, Sangeetha Mahal and Brihadeswara Temple (or the big temple of God). The temple tower rises to a height of 15 meters from a square base of 29 meters and then tapers off, making a total of 66 meters). Stay overnight at the hotel.
Morning after breakfast,drive towards the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu – Trichy. It was a citadel of the early Cholas which later fell to the Pallavas. Trichy is a fine blend of tradition and modernity built around the Rock Fort. Apart from the Fort, there are several Churches, Colleges and Missions dating back to the 1760s. The town and its fort, now in Trichy were built by the Nayaks of Madurai. This city has given great Tamil scholars whose contributions to the Tamil literature have been very significant. Morning after breakfast drive towards the temple town of India, Madurai. At Madurai day is free to explore its markets and temples on your own. Stay overnight at Madurai.
Day is free to visit the Meenakshi temple – a superb example of Dravidian architecture and sculpture, the focal point around which the city has developed. Remaining day is free for leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Also visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace constructed in the Indo-Saracenic style in 1639 AD. The curved dome, standing without the support of a girder or rafter, is an architectural feat Pass by the MariammanTeppakulam – the tank with a mandapam in the center. Visit Tirumangalam, 19 kms from Madurai.
Late evening attend the very special “night ceremony” at Shree MeenakshiTemple. The ceremony takes place every evening at 9 PM, when the bronze idol of Lord Shiva is carried to the bedchamber of Parvati. Morning after breakfast drive towards Kanyakumari. During the day take a sightseeing tour which includes your visit to Vivekananda Memorial Rock Temple, Gandhi Memorial and Kanniyakumari Devi Temple. Stay overnight at your hotel.

On this day have a leisurely breakfast and drive to Periyar. On your arrival at Periyar you will be transferred to your hotel to check in. After having some leisure move out for a Spice Plantation tour. Take a morning & evening boat ride over the Periyar Lake to see the wild animals congregating on the lake for drinking water.

Morning after breakfast move for an excursion to two most outstanding sites of Hoysala style temples namely Halebid and Belur. Visit some of the most beautiful temples of Hoysala kingdom notably the Hoysaleshwar temple and Kedareshwara temple at Halebid and Channekeshava temple at Belur. These temples have some of the most intricate and unbelievable carvings found anywhere in Hindu temples. Stay overnight at your resort.
Drive to Hampi. If dreams were made out of stone, it would be Hampi. Hampi has been classified as a World Heritage Center and is one of the major tourist destinations in India.
Hampi, the seat of the famed Vijayanagara Empire was the capital of the largest empire in past – Moghul India, covering several states. The Vijayanagara Empire stretched over at least three states – Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. The destruction of Vijayanagar by marauding Moghul invaders was sudden, shocking and absolute.
Although in ruins today, this capital city once boasted riches known far beyond the shores of India. The ruins of Hampi of the 14th Century lie scattered in about 26 sq. km area, amidst giant boulders and vegetation.
Protected by the tempestuous river Tungabhadra in the north and rocky granite ridges on the other three sides, the ruins silently narrate the story of grandeur splendor and fabulous wealth.
The splendid remains of palaces and gateways of the broken city tells a tale of man’s infinite talent and power of creativity together with his capacity for senseless destruction. A visit to Hampi is a sojourn into the past. Most of the important structures and ruins are located in two areas, which are generally referred to as the Royal Centre and the Sacred Centre.

Drive to Badami. Badami was once the capital of Chalukyan Empire and today it boasts some of the most beautiful rock cut temples of that period. Rest of the time is kept free as per your own discretion. Stay overnight at Badami.
After breakfast you will be taken for an excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal. Return back to your hotel and take some rest. Night stay at Badami.
