The central India is the region that comes in the central part of country. It includes two states Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh famous for their rich culture, magnificent history and amazing tourist destinations that includes temples, forests, waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries and hill stations. In MP some of major travel destinations include prevail Khajuraho Group of Monuments, religious Buddhist Monuments – Sanchi, Bhimbetka rock shelters. It is heaven for wildlife lovers as it has almost nine national parks. Some prominent ones being, Panna National Park, Kanha National Park, Satpura & Bandhavgarh National Parks, all these are home of Tiger, Barasingha, Sloth Bears, leopards many more rare species of wild animals. Chhattisgarh on the other hand, have places like Chitrakote Falls – (popularly known as India’s Niagara falls), Tirathgarh Waterfalls also known as Milky waterfall as the water falling from the distance looks like milk is falling. Here, you will also get to see some ancient caves, it includes Kotumsar Caves – it is known as world’s second longest natural cave; Kailash Caves – it has amazing form of Shivlinga formed due to natural stalagmite formation while the Singhanpur cave is famous for paintings of historic era.

Madhya Pradesh (MP):

Madhya Pradesh (MP) as the name suggests lies in heart of India. The capital of this amazing state is Bhopal. Some of the other popular cities in the region are Indore, Gwalior, and Ujjain etcetera. MP has everything from historical monuments to pilgrimages shrines, lavish palaces to wildlife parks that attract Indian as well as foreign tourists.

The state capital Bhopal has some of the well known religious place. The biggest mosque in India Taj-ul-Masajid and Moti Masjid which is seen as the magnificent symbol of Mughal architecture is situated here. The Laxmi Narayan Temple is another must visit place in the city for Hindu devotees. The other prominent city Gwalior has magnificent Gwalior Fort, serene Teli-ka-Mandir, tranquil Surya Mandir, affluent Jai Vilas Palace and historic Tomb of Mohammad Ghaus. The other places that are major tourist destination include Khajuraho, known for its ancient temples and erotic carvings and Sanchi stupa in Sanchi.


Carved out of MP, Chhattisgarh has Raipur as its capital. The state is blessed with abundance natural resources and beauty. It has dense forests, primeval caves, ancient monuments and numerous waterfalls and the illustrated history that makes it more fascinating. Some of the must visit tourist destination are Amarkantak, Jagdalpur, Danteswari Temple, Banjari Baba, Kangerghati & Indravati National Park, Dudhadharimath, Bastar, Mainpat Hill Station. A central India tour is not going to be complete without visiting Chhattisgarh, the state is an amazing blend of natural & historical beauty.
